Lets Dance looks like something that might be fun. I'm not all that interested in it but I don't doubt that it could be a fun game. Also seeing sexy chicks play the game is fun.

Just Dance is a game you can have fun with your friends, like FPS with good local multiplayer, Mario Kart, Wii Sports, and even GTA in the sense that some people just have fun watching the player wreak havoc (and then want the game themselves if they don't have it).

In short, this game has mass appeal, and most "core" third party Wii games don't.

Is easy to learn to play.
Has popular music that almost everybody like.
It's fun with friends.
It's cheap.
There is not a good competitor like it.
And it had advertisement.

It's not my kind of game, but I can understand the appeal.

Others games sell less, because they miss 1 or more of these "features", so they don't appeal to a such a higher audience.

Just Dance manages to appeal to a vast majority of the female gaming audience.

Just dance is a great game. The execution is not perfect. (Motion Sensing could be better) However what Ubisoft really has done right is the music collection. I know most of the titles (and I am not really into music) and they are all good for dancing.

I played it with a few girls and all liked it. However once I played the game infront of some hardcoregamers and they couldn't really understand it. It was fun to watch their pain while I danced with some girls.
