Gee, a lot of you are a broken record. Hopefully this fad will die.

You baited people by saying "Shouldn't we be saying how much IGN sucks, or are we done with that?"

If you go into an IGN-related review thread and say that, be prepared for a reaction.

I know, I was just joking around. I didn't think people would actually be compelled to say how much IGN sucks.

At the end of the day, this just reminds me of the whole "Boycott Ubisoft" fad, and I wish it would go away. People are acting like every review IGN writes is biased and terrible, and it's not fair to the reviewers there that do a good job.

To be fair, I might juse get Ubisoft stuff on consoles in the future because of their terrible DRM on PC with their new products, or not buy them at all, for example, I was waiting for AC2 on PC, then I saw what they were doing to it, and now I'm just not buying any version because the hype died down for me now. I also don't know about SC4 yet, Ubisoft is making my purchase decisions really hard lately, and it's not so much that I don't like the company, it's that they are making it hard for a consumer like me to be appealed to their product.

Looks like they actually played the game and judged i fairly... not often that happens.

It's IGN UK. My impression is that they're somewhat better at getting reviews right than IGN US (but, it's just an impression). I usually don't really notice, but I do remember they gave Endless Ocean Blue World an 8.0 vs.  IGN US's 7.0, and the review was 2-3 pages long while the IGN US review was 1 measly page, while they gave The Conduit 1 7.0 vs. IGN US's 8.6 ...

Currently Playing: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked, Professor Layton and the Curious Village

@Montana

Agreeing with the score IGN have Monster Hunter 3 doesn't make IGN haters hypocrites.

And also the "boycott Ubisoft" movement died when they started putting some effort into their games, ex. Red Steel 2, Rabbids Go Home, publishing NMH2.

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."

I still can't forgive Ign for shitting all over Wii and its fans in their one podcast simply to get more hits, or for scoring NSMB Wii less than a 9 simply because it is in 2D and has no online, but it is good to see them give this game a good score. This could very well be Wii's best 3rd party game to date.

Ign Does not suck and I know they review games a little higher on wii to help sell wii game "8.6 conduit"..............

I think IGN really do a good job with their reviews, but their Anti-Wii rants some weeks ago were uncalled for and irritating. That's what I was upset about.
