.Anyway what I mean is if nintendo in order to avoid changing the main games core structure(2D graphics,turn base system).Prefers to  release this "fifth" generation of games earlier for the NDS so that they will have more time to figure out how it would work for the 3DS.Meaning that nintendo won't have to release a new next generation pokemon game for awhile.For instance,we have the example of Zelda Twilight Princess which was available for the gamecube that way they just ported it to the wii maintaining the core mechanics of a Gamecube game.Perhaps Nintendo can not figure out how to do a 3DS Pokemon and would much rather play it safe and keep on with the "If it's not broken don't fix it".

I love Pokemon,in fact my favorite game of all time is Pokemon Gold.But afterwards I am pretty tired of the games they all feel the same, the story is the same,you play to defeat the elite four.It all feels like a rehash.I have been playing pokemon games since yellow and it is almost the same as the latest fourth generation.

You mean if Black and White fails they'll go back to color for the next games in the series cuz the 3DS can't handle Black and White?

It was announced for the DS... people seemed to forget that when the 3DS was announced. Even now, they're trying to spin it saying that the 3rd version will be for the 3DS or that this game will have 3DS exclusive features.

Eh, this isn't worth it. Let's wait until more is announced.

the next game in Pokemon will be full 3D as i said in my previous thread. and i mean not like this 3D as i don't see it as 3d it is more like 2.5D

They're not makinga 3DS pokemon because it's not made for the 3DS. If the game comes out this year it means its been in development for awhile, a 3DS release would mean a delay and reworking the game around the platform, which is unnecessary when they have a huge DS install base waiting for this game already.

I wouldn't be surprised if Pokemon Grey was a 3DS game, though. I think one of the pokemon rescue team games was split between GBA and DS.

I think the 3rd version would be for the 3DS, with a bit more features and vastly updated graphics. B&W will probably come out in 2011 in the U.S., and the 3rd version will probably come out in 2013, so by then, they can release it for the 3DSM and hopefully the 3DS can communicate with the DS.

I think GameFreak will probubly stick to their current graphic style. They may move this style 3D in a sense. For example When battling a Pokemon your Pokemon may appear closer to your eyes while the Pokemon in the back appears further away.

A friend and I were debating and I think that they might be cross compatable as you said bonus features for use on the 3DS. However I think when the third version of Black/White comes out it will be a 3DS exclusive.

I think Nintendo went the wrong route making Black and White for the DS and not 3DS. Could Nintendo have asked for a better 3DS launch title. It would have helped move like 5-million units at launch. But I guess Nintendo must have another big title planned for the 3DS launch!

Interesting point of vue of releasing the game as a lauch title. But I think pokemon is the kind of game that makes much more money by being release on a console with a big install base. In fact, Nintendo never released an official pokemon game on a lauching system. I'm ready to bet that Nintendo even did the mathematical calcul on the forecast sales of releasing the game in a lauch window + the hardware unit moved by the game  vs releasing the game with a big instal base. Company can forsee a hell lot of stuff these days by studiing the market and surveys.
