Forums - Sony - Playstation Move Seattle showoff. (videos inside and limited ps3)

Right now, the only thing holding me back from buying this is the fact that I know absolutely nothing about any of the software coming out. If it has good games I will buy it.

None of those videos impressed me at all. I hope they have better games for it than what was shown on the videos, because that was pretty boring in my view.

It's starting to look pretty good now.  It looks like what I was expecting the Wii to be.  The Swords were pretty damn cool.  I'm in.

What do you mean it looks like what I was expecting the wii to be. It's basically the same thing.

How is this the same thing? the hand-held controller part may look similar, but a lot of the stuff shown can't be done on the Wii, not even with motion plus.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Judging from the videos,it looks exactly like everything that can be done on the wii. I'm sorry, but I really did'nt see anything mindblowing in those videos.

The only mindblowing thing is again those sword demos. They look cool as hell! The rotation is something truly amazing!

But... again, there's no games showing that potential yet.

The Wii has a camera now and can do head-tracking? When did that happen?

well you can't do headtracking and take pictures on the wii. Without motion plus it can't define dept and i'm pretty sure this is more accurate... The wii also tells developers to use pre defined movement choices.. That might have changed with wii motion plus though. But whatever. It doesn't matter. What matters is the content and that is why i'm psyched about it. I do have a wii, but I don't use it. I bought multiple games only to be dissapointed by, what I felt, was shallow story and gameplay, not to mention the visual fidelity is not quite up there (althought I was expecting that).

Sony has a tendency of implementing their concepts well. Ofcourse some has worked better than others.

My point is that sony could take this further. The question is if they will. So far i've seen things that made me very interested and curious, but i'm still not convinced if they are going to roll with it or just give up on it if it doesn't catch on.

Naturally all of this is simply my opinion.
