Although I personally dislike extremely short games it could still end up being 5 hours of pure awesome.

I completed Heavenly Sword in 7 hours on my first play through and while I was upset to see it end I can assure you I still had a blast playing it.

I'm not big on multiplayer though so padding a short game with multiplayer means nothing to me and adds nothing to it's score what so ever. If I was in the OP's situation I would probably still give it a rent.

yes exactly, if the game is that good, why not pay? PLUS, replay ability is still there

I never said he should buy it.

Games are very expensive this gen and if he is going to go through the SP campaign once and never touch the MP portion of the game I think it would be very foolish of him to drop $60 on something that would give him the exact same overall experience that a $9 rental would.

I don't buy games I think I will only play once, that is why I rented Uncharted and Uncharted 2. Both great games, but nothing I would play a second time or more and with that known it made zero sense for me to drop $60 on it just so it could sit on a shelf.

I never said he should buy it either. I just dislike it when someone wont buy a guy JUST because its that short. There should be other reasons. Like its REALLLLY short. Or the game just sucks, etc...

Nobody owes anyone specific reasoning or additional reasons as to why they won't buy a game. Everyone has their own justifications, there is no standard for what makes an excuse valid or not.

I could sit here and tell you that I didn't buy Halo 3 because I don't give a damn about online shooters and didn't want to spend $60 on a 6 hour shooter campaign, so I rented it. I can sit here and tell you that I didn't buy Uncharted 2 only because I know I wouldn't play it more than once. I can sit here and tell you that I didn't buy Prince of Persia because I tried it out and thought it sucked big time.

None of mt reasons are invalid because they are based entirely on my gaming preferences, just like how some people here thin Kratos and God of War sucks and some people think Mass Effect sucks.

The guy doesn't want to drop $60 on a game where he will only play the 5 hour campaign and won't touch the online. How is that not a good enough reason? Is it because some people here think it isn't?

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

5 hours omg uncharted 2 was 5 hours and i still loved it so whats the differences with this game

Uncharted 2 was not 5 hours.

yeah i basically beat it in 4 hours 30 min first play through so i think its save to say its a 5 hour game

Ign said 8-10 hours for Uncharted 2. Looks like you'll be beating SC in 2 hours then since you seem to be the jesus of first time playthrough speedruns.

"jesus of first time playthrough" LOL

I guess if you don't want to co-op or go on XBox Live for MP then it won't be worth it. Otherwise it should still be worth it.

Who the hell pays $60 for this anyways? I got mine for $45ish after the coupon code SPLINTER I can wait a few days to get it at that price.

Either way it will be $40 in 3 months via ubisoft price drop.

It's just that simple.

once again it took 5 hours to finish Sam Fisher story and not whole singleplayer campaign. so you have at least 10-12 hours of singleplayer fun.

Im am not being a fanboy here but what?? thet gave splinter cell the same score as GOW 3??

So let me get this right,

GOW3=9-12 hours long. Bad
360 Exclusive=5 - 6hours long. XD Good

They should have added 5 hours of cutscenes tbh

With the prequel, the game will be just as long as Uncharted 2

No problem here.

I dont even think this guy has a 360... just a guess of course. his post history defies his claims of being multi-platform. live id?

not only that. but who the hell doesnt like multiplayer?!

Is it really that hard to believe multiplayer isn't for everyone? I can tolerate it on occasion, particularly with fighting games, but I don't enjoy it. The only time I have ever been on Live for multiplayer is when I got a free trial and that was about 3 years ago. I haven't even updated my firmware. I'm still using the original.

You obviously don't buy many games for your 360 then, as it would have been auto updated to NXE over a year ago.

I have never encountered an auto update, and I do indeed purchase games for my 360. Then again my most recent purchase was Lost Odyssey and Deadly Premonition. The latter I haven't played yet.

Well, 5 hours is not much but then you have the coop' campaign, the multiplayer and maybe a good replayability, so you need to consider all this in the equation
