Although I personally dislike extremely short games it could still end up being 5 hours of pure awesome.

I completed Heavenly Sword in 7 hours on my first play through and while I was upset to see it end I can assure you I still had a blast playing it.

I'm not big on multiplayer though so padding a short game with multiplayer means nothing to me and adds nothing to it's score what so ever. If I was in the OP's situation I would probably still give it a rent.

yes exactly, if the game is that good, why not pay? PLUS, replay ability is still there

I never said he should buy it.

Games are very expensive this gen and if he is going to go through the SP campaign once and never touch the MP portion of the game I think it would be very foolish of him to drop $60 on something that would give him the exact same overall experience that a $9 rental would.

I don't buy games I think I will only play once, that is why I rented Uncharted and Uncharted 2. Both great games, but nothing I would play a second time or more and with that known it made zero sense for me to drop $60 on it just so it could sit on a shelf.

I never said he should buy it either. I just dislike it when someone wont buy a guy JUST because its that short. There should be other reasons. Like its REALLLLY short. Or the game just sucks, etc...

Nobody owes anyone specific reasoning or additional reasons as to why they won't buy a game. Everyone has their own justifications, there is no standard for what makes an excuse valid or not.

I could sit here and tell you that I didn't buy Halo 3 because I don't give a damn about online shooters and didn't want to spend $60 on a 6 hour shooter campaign, so I rented it. I can sit here and tell you that I didn't buy Uncharted 2 only because I know I wouldn't play it more than once. I can sit here and tell you that I didn't buy Prince of Persia because I tried it out and thought it sucked big time.

None of mt reasons are invalid because they are based entirely on my gaming preferences, just like how some people here thin Kratos and God of War sucks and some people think Mass Effect sucks.

The guy doesn't want to drop $60 on a game where he will only play the 5 hour campaign and won't touch the online. How is that not a good enough reason? Is it because some people here think it isn't?

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
