If Sony release a PS3 Super Slim for like $200, then maybe.. otherwise it would probably be more likely in 2011.

No. Even if it keeps outselling XB360 and even considering that the Xmas boost would widen the weekly gap as usual, if all goes well for PS3 it could do it during 2011, but that's not guaranteed either.

If it happens, it won't be this year.

I see the gap increasing back to 7-9 million a the end of this year with the launch of natal and the $159 expected price point for the new arcade model.

When Sony drops the PS3 price to $199 in fall of 2011 will see the PS3 close the gap back down to where it currently is. So I'm thinking 2012 seems like a more realistic goal for the PS3 overtaking the 360 in WW sales.

I believe it will, Killzone 3, Uncharted 3, InFamous 2, Gran Turismo 5, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, price will be even more cheap, no shortage issues.

Even if PS3 outsells 360 by 70k each week like it did the most recent week, it would be 77 weeks before PS3 surpasses 360.

That's about October 2011 for you kids counting at home, and that's kind of a best case scenario. A 360 price drop could come out the same time as Natal which will throw things off as well as Halo Reach this year and Gears 3 early next year.

Not sure how anyone can say yes, they must expect the PS3 to sell nearly 10 mill+ in Q4 .....
