Well these are just the announcements. They got the teaser and the gameplay reveal out of the way in early 2008 for GoW 2 so they could demo the gameplay walkthrough at E3.

It just lets the inital wow factor wear off so they can get their points across instead of all the live blogs jizzing about "OMG SHENMUE TRI!!!!!!!!!!" shock and awe and missing all the changes they made.
