Did they simply decide to stop making them or what? I really enjoyed the first Crash Bandicoot made by them and wish they would make at least one more. Never played the Jak & Dexter series but i heard its great.

True but unlike Crash naughty dag didnt sell the rights for Jak
They found out that Dexter was a serial killer who killed other serial killers.
Crash Bandicoot wasn't owned by Sony at all; they were under contract by another company (I think it was Universal) to do 3 games, which they let Naughty Dog develop. After they released those three games, their contract was up and they found a new developer.
The Crash IP is a whore and goes round everyone.
I grew up with Crash, it was my first PS1 game, the first console I went to the shop to buy new. Now he's a layabout junkie whoring himself all over the place and getting treated like dirt. :(
I hope they make another Jak game though, I've only got limited experience of it on the PS2, but it's a good one. I miss the wealth of platformers that eralier gens had, nowadays it's all just action and shooter games, why so serious?!

Because working on the same IP for 15 years might get boring? They are not a massive studio, so they focus all of their energy one one game at a time, and you can bet that those games become the cream of the crop every gen
