Why did Naughty Dog stop developing Crash Bandicoot and Jak & Dexter?I

Did they simply decide to stop making them or what? I really enjoyed the first Crash Bandicoot made by them and wish they would make at least one more. Never played the Jak & Dexter series but i heard its great.
