Aside from lacking in the puzzle despartment Homecoming was a great SH game.

I agree. Fuck all those haters. Double Helix did a good job, and it gives me hope for this bastardization of Front Mission!

So, I should play Homecoming then? For the record I loved Condemned 1.

Edit: I also really like Silent Hill 4(?): The Room.

@KylieDog

Still sucks, though.

The first game and the third one had good stories , better characters too. I really don't think the 2nd one is as good as the first game.

MOre details about the game. A remake of Silent Hill 2???

Konami's Gamers Night 2010 presentation concluded with a nice surprise: A teaser trailer for what could only be a new Silent Hill game. Well, maybe not entirely new.

In the footage, which appeared to be an in-engine recording of gameplay from one or both of the current HD consoles, a male character resembling James Sunderland from Silent Hill 2 awoke from a public bench and began wandering the foggy, deserted streets of a suburban neighborhood. While the game's title was not revealed, given the recent revisiting of the original Silent Hill in Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, a remake of the second game in the series doesn't seem too far-fetched.

The teaser ended with the tagline: "End the Silence" and "E3." We suspect the weather report for Los Angeles in the third week of June will call for sunny with a chance of terrifying fog.

And more, apparently 1Up has info about the developer. It's Vatra Games a Czech company behind the new Rush N' Attack for the PSN and XBLA

I hope they do something similar to Shattered Memories but spend more than 5 dollars marketing it.

Yeah Origins wasn't very good and a lot of people blamed the new team, that flak carries over to Homecoming even though the two games are worlds apart.

Origins was great, i liked it far more than Homecoming (my least favorite SH game, but still a good one)

I just finished playing Shattered Memories last night and I came away very impressed. Even though Climax isn't looking like the developer for this new Silent Hill, I'm hoping that they can get another go at the franchise sooner or later.

Anywho, good news for Silent Hill fans (can I call myself one now?)

Wait, I thought Homecoming was good?
