I only put GT5 ahead because it's had like 5 years to rack up pre-orders. A year ago we didn't even know Galaxy 2 existed!
Yea reach will be somewhere around 2 million. Galaxy 2 is on track to be around the same preorders as New Super Mario Bros Wii which was 520k before it came out. Potentially a little higher because it is tracking slightly better. But of course that was during the holiday season for NSMB Wii. GT5 is a little bit of a tricky case just because it has been available to preorder for a long time. Might have saturated the name brand a little bit for traditional preorder increases as the big fanbase has already put down on the title. But I'd still expect it to have a solid 400k-500k before release and start to really pick after E3.
But can anything get as high as Reach this year? Well probably not. I'd say watch out for the next Call of Duty game as it comes off of Modern Warfare hype. Zelda is a pretty big title we should start looking out for after E3. Has a very big fanbase and obviously will be frontloaded. Not as mainstream as Halo so won't be able to get that high but definitely going to have a lot of reserves.
But yea the obvious answer here is Reach.
Reach will in America. Super mario galaxy 2 will have the most,in the rest of the world.
I would say Reach, then GT5, But GT5 will have better numbers longer I think.

Not in America. Not even close.
Halo, in a ridiculous landslide. Wii titles aren't front-loaded to the extent the HD games are, and GT5 just doesn't carry the punch a core Halo game does in terms of mass hysteria, especially in the U.S. And you just aren't going to post ridiculous pre-order numbers without the U.S. being involved. There's just too much software being sold here.
Galaxy also only did a little over a million sales week one, right? Halo might well be over double that first week number in pre-orders alone.
This one's a no-brainer, as ioi said.
