Who misses streets of rage? like me :( And if they were to make a new one could they look at a style similar to madworld (i dont mean in Black and white) but in an open world city which you can use to smash your enemies to peaces, or should the series be left as it is and never to see the light of day again and keep its legendary status in the video game world

That sounds like a sweet idea. Streets of Rage with MadWorld style "kill anything with anything"? I would buy that.

Though I never played Streets of Rage in the early 90s....I was a bit too young and didn't have a game system at the time either.

Man, I miss Streets of Rage. I would be cool if Sega did bring it back with a MadWorld style.

I'd like to see a return of Streets of Rage, such fun games. However there would be quite a lot to fix to meet todays gaming standards.

The levels would have to be more open world instead of linear, there would have to be a stronger story than just Mr. X taking over the city, and the combat would have to be more varied and less repetitive.

I LOVE Streets of Rage, I played 1, 2 and 3 about a billion times each. I would be fine with it being an XBLA/PSM release with the 2.5D style of Shadow Complex.

If they did it like they did Turtles in Time, except not make it suck, that would be fine with me. I hated how they used the arcade version and not the console one. So lame.

It would still be a niche game, since brawlers aren't a big genre anymore. So no matter how good it is, don't expect it to sell loads.

I wasn't able to get into MadWorld (bought it full price too). Probably just my taste since the reviewers seemed to go nuts over it.


I would LOVE to see a Streets of Rage Rebirth style game (sort of like what was done with Castlevania Rebirth). Make sure to keep the same atmosphere of the originals though.
