Forums - Nintendo - Can you use the controller from MHTri on NSMBWii?

on NSMBWii , there are some motion control parts so does this controller have motion sensing of some sort? , i want to get a third controller but i don't know if i should get this, or get a Wii mote and this (if they basically do the same thing why the waste?)

Nah only certain games can use "normal" controllers. It should tell you on the back of the case what ones you can use.

No. You wouldn't be able to propeller, or pick things up, or do the longer jumps, or move the controllable platforms. It's not immediately obviously but with the many minor instances of motion control in the game it would be virtually impossible to play without it, hence the game doesn't support the classic controller in any form.

It's the exact same thing as the classic Classic Controller, except a much friendlier shape.

Nope tried it and didn't work. (well not with the MH3 controller of course, but there is barely a difference to the normal controller)

damn i envy you wii owners... you get to play the best MH game on the market AND get a free controller too.
You guys should be appreciative and buy this game when it comes out. SERIOUSLY BUY IT.
