According to metacritic, we have a 10th AAA Wii game! Congratulations, Cave Story!

CAVE STORY IS AMAZING!

That said, one of the following occurs every time someone misuses the term 'AAA' by associating it with an aggregated website score of over 90.

1. a baby Yoshi dies
2. a new Sonic Friend is born
3. Zelda Wii is delayed +1 day
4. Sony/Microsoft consider a potential Move/Natal title over a potential hardcore title
5. Iwata laughs

Not number 5....not NUMBER 5!

That is not what AAA means. That would be the gaming equivalent to a summer blockbuster. This is more like a highly acclaimed independent film.

Cave Story is an indie game, very low budget and freaking download-only. It's a terrific game, but calling it AAA is downright idiotic. People should really cut it out. AAA = blockbuster. It has to do with production values, marketing budgets and brand recognition.

Metacritic has NOTHING to do with all of those things.

A vast majority of gamers may not have heard of this game. It needs to be advertised to a certain extent. Wiiware and DSiware games are less significant to Nintendo compared to the normal Wii and DS games.

Every game is AAA.

AAA is every game.

It is one of my favorite games this gen, so far. Hope it is selling well and making a profit for him.

Reminds me of Metroid some but a lot more of the platforming elements. Very charming too!
