This actually wasn't a joke. Gamespot is just that savvy and didn't want to be laughed at the time so they said that it was an April Fool's thing. I'm on to those braniacs at Gamespot I tell you.

The majority of people didn't, All analysys predicted Wii to sell below 30M life time, and with a few more years remain it's already passed 71.5M in shipments.

it said it will take lead in 2010 but it already had a long time ago so it is nothing that wasn't true and became true

what the title suggests is that it would take lead in 2010 so this is not spot on as some people say :P
