A very awesome quarter, indeed! Games I purchased during it:

Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story - DS (A bit late, but Q4 of 2009 was so hard on my wallet, I had to ignore this game for 3 WHOLE months! )

Mass Effect 2 - Xbox 360

Tatsunoko vs Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars - Wii

Bayonetta - Xbox 360

God of War III- PS3

Not the best quarter in gaming history, but easily one of the best Q1's ever! And to think that summer will be even more amazing...

*Shivers of excitement*

(Also, no I didn't buy No More Heroes 2, because Rising Star Games keeps on delaying the F***ing game here in Europe! NMH 1 had no blood. NMH 2 is constantly delayed. What's with the hate against Europe?!?)

Awsome quarter!!

Heavyrain,God of war 3, FF13, yakuza 3, Bioshock 2, Darksider and MAG.

Amazing quarter, though i must say it has been / is slightly overwhelming for anyone with multiple consoles/handhelds ... 3 months just isn't enough to play through Bayonetta, Bioshock 2, SO4(PS3), White Knight Chronicles, Heavy Rain, FFXIII, Resonance of Fate, god of war 3 and Pokemon Heart Gold (and those are just the games i bought....).

Another thread dominated by the masterpiece that is FFXIII!

I picked up these below, not disappointed with any of them, so excellent quarter.

Darksiders
Dante's Inferno
Bayonetta
Yakuza 3
Star Ocean 4 International
Final Fantasy XIII
Bioshock 2
Mass Effect 2
Aliens Vs Predator
Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition

and there were still others to pick up;

Resonance of Fate
Heavy Rain (?)
God of War 3

I also agree there has been too many releases, especially between Feb-Mar.

It was a pretty swell 1st quarter for sure! ^_^

No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle (Great sequel that fixed a lot of the predecessor's faults while still retaining the crazy charm of the original. Also, Shinobu... )

James Cameron's Avatar: The Videogame (Although the core gameplay mechanics were there, there wasn't much soul to this game due to repetiveness and a lack of character. It's a shame too, since there's a wonderful world to take from.)

James Cameron's Avatar: The Videogame (Even though it's an entirely different game on a different system, it suffers from the same repetitiveness and lack of character as the Wii version. Although the different Na'vi armor is awesome! Still, it holds one of the worst endings in a video game I've ever seen.)

Bioshock 2 (It's tough to keep the magic and charm going, but Bioshock 2 nailed it. While it's mostly more of the same, that's not a bad thing at all. Still, it never really feels like you're a big daddy in your adventures in post-disaster Rapture. Other than that one minor complaint, it's an awesome game!)

Endless Ocean 2: Blue World (I loved the first one, and I love this one too. It's just a magical and wonderful "game". I dunno, words can't really describe the wonder and awe that Endless Ocean 2 delivers.)

Pokemon SoulSilver (This game is probably my favorite of this wonderful quarter of gaming. 65 hours in and loving every second I'm in Johto and Kanto. My team rocks my socks, and I'm gonna be the very best. Like no one ever was! To catch them all is my real test...)

Red Steel 2 (I love when games know what they are, and Red Steel 2 knows what it wants to be. It wants to be a game about wielding swords and guns. And by George it does just that, and very very well I must add. It never felt better to be a swordsman in a video game.)

...

So, it's been a great quarter... but with Mario, Metroid, and Monster Hunter coming in the summer... it's gonna be awesome!

Q1 of this year has been all about 1 game for me:

Mass Effect 2

With HeavyRain,FF13,WKC,RoF and my 2010 favourite GOW3, this IS the best quarter ever and unlikely to be topped in a while...unless GT5,TLG and Versus releases in the same month :p

Mass Effect 2 was enough to make it an amazing quarter for me. Q2 should be strong as well with Splinter Cell and Alan Wake.

Mass Effect 2 solidifies the franchises generational dominance. It reeks of awesomeness.

GOW3 reeks of epicness. God of War > Clash of the Titans

Q2 will be great for the lucky 360 owners (I NEED TO GET THE 360 BACK!ARGHH!!). Splinter Cell and Alan Wake will be amazing.
