A good Story makes and breaks a game for me.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

- George Orwell, ‘1984’

A good story.

With it i can learn to love every bad part of a game.

length- dollar per hour is usually what i want
Story- I rarely buy a game if it has no story line (no sports/minigames/party games/music games)
gameplay- it can't have a good story and bad gameplay (xenosaga and it's 3 minutes for one attack)
character selection (i like something like 5 with 3 in the battle if it's a jrpg)

Graphics. Gameplay. Sexiness.

Gameplay? yep

Characters? pretty much but I don't mind about user created characters as long as dev put up a good voice actors.

Story? yes!

Genre? RPG, RPG RPG!

Thrill? yes!

Realism? sort of

Graphics? not really

Difficulty? yes! ai is always always important specially for the enemies.

Popularity? sort of. ie. I tend to buy Bioware made games :D

Multiplayer? not crazy about MP

PRICE? hell yes!! all new releases should be cheaper :D

Replay to me is the most important, I feel I got my monies worth
Example:
Bayonetta ( over 100 hours clocked )
Metroid Prime ( still play it to this day )
Super Mario World snes ( still not outdated to me )
Sonic 3 ( come on )

my signature went on strike, it's demanding 3% raise

Yes.

Gameplay is the only thing i look for. the rest is basically irrelevant. Nice graphics have a nice wow factor, but after 1 hour in the game, you forget about the graphics.
