Well apparently a sleeper hit is supposed to be a bigger success than expected.

I don't think Bayonetta falls in the category of sleeper hit. I mean it was hyped and received a fair share of advertising, it was a critical success, and sales have been solid. Overall I'd say its been doing average for a big budget title.

I think its just an old fashion hit.

Well I expected it to be a cheap Devil May Cry rip off, but instead it is the best of the genre.

So yeah definitely a sleeper hit, because no one considered it even close as a GOTY contender.

White Knight Chronicles for me. Glad to see some others giving it some love too; it's cliché, the story is clearly made for more than one installment which is why it was a bit disappointing but the gameplay is fantastic and the amount of hours I've put into the online is just stupid.

Bayonetta went from being that little crappy PS3 port, to being one of my favourite games of the gen.

I'll also add the Just Cause 2 demo, unexpectedly awsome.



Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

Was this comment really necessary? There are people in here that do play on the PC and do know what S.T.A.L.K.E.R is.

And why is S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Call of Pripyat a sleeper hit when Shadow of Chernobyl already had cemented it's status as one of the best PC FPS? o.O
