Forums - Sales - Games that can challenge nintendo i matter of legs!

Wich non-nintendo games that have nintendo like legs? I think GT, GTA, The Sims, and Blizzard games are the only ones that have the same kind of legs as nintendo.

Killzone 2

Blizzard games only have good legs cuz they take 10+ years to release a sequel

Depends how you define legs.

Some games release (relatively) big, and within a few months are no longer shipped, which is obvioulsy not legs.

but some games release big, then fall off to tiny sales, but keep selling those tiny (compared to 1st week) weekly numbers for ages.... this could arguably be legs, but what about those games that release to say 50k, but continue to sell 50k each week for years, clearly a very different sales pattern.

In the second scenario GT, GTA and The Sims all fit well enough.... but none of those games really follows the 3rd scenario like some Nintendo games, and in fact some small release Wii/DS 3rd party games do.

Just a question, there is any game that released with a normal to low first week the was able to pass the 10 million mark? The main legs game should be Tetris, it's pretty old and still selling.

^Depends what you class as normal/low.... but Brain Age/Training is probably the most impressive (45k American launch, 65k Japan and 30k PAL. And it has sold over 10 million in PAL alone.

Other low starting 10mil sellers are Brain Age 2 (though it had a big launch in Japan) Mario Kart DS, Animal Crossing DS, Nintendogs, Wii Play (and Wii Sports, which had it not been bundled would still be over 10 mill by now)

Tetris + Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

Probably the only 2.

GTA:San Andreas

see its sales last week

it outsold GTA4 (xbox 360)

Apart from GTA, COd4.

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

When I think of legs on the HD consoles, I think of Call of Duty and Uncharted.
