When you got it? Launch Day

What was the price? Full Price $599

Does it still work or when it bricked? Still work perfectly.  I have had to change the internal fan once (was loud).

Well, I bought at Euro launch PS3, but then that broke, so I got a refurbished one, but that broke within 1 week, so I got another refurbished one

I still have that PS3, but as when I tried to expand the HDD, I ruined the screws, instead I replaced the HDD of my second PS3 (for BDs), so I still have the PS3, but it is not my active PS3

PAL launch unit for 600 Euros, works fine but I haven't played PS2 games on it for quite a while. I still have God of War 1 & 2 and Ape Escape 2 & 3. I will get the God of War Collection and I'm looking forward to see what the new Ape Escape for Playstation Move brings.

I bought my 80gig ps3 for 599 I think or so
ething like that. Actually ppl mine was the best since it came with MGS4. I also sold a 360 with games to get the ps3 it all came out to like 100 usd. It works perfectly but I'm thinking I'm ganna buy a slim when I get my 3d tv. I want the 7.1 audio :P

I got my awesome PS3 60GB B/C at the euro launch in 07 and it hasn't let me down since! Its 3 years old and still going strong, i have not had any incidences until now except it freezing a few times.

My Best Friend has a launch 60GB UK PS3.

Still working but it gets less than two hours worth of playtime a week !

Got my 60 GB PS3 used on Ebay in Dec '08.  Upgraded it to a 500 GB a few months later.

Cost about $350 including the shipping.

Works perfectly, with the fan only kicking in high gear late at night when its been on awhile. Either that or I notice it more since all else is quite. Plus, this baby gets played at least 6-7 hrs a day between me and the kids and movies (it's the only thing I have in my living room for entertainment besides the cable).

We hear sometimes that they break easily and they will not last until next gen PS3 is introduced so it will be interesting to see your posts.

My 60gig PS3 was GBP 415.00 and got it in September 2007. Doesn’t give me any problems but I vacuum it every few months and I guess this helps.

I have a 60 GB B/C as well, think i got mine around September 2007 as well, still works perfectly...has a few sratches here and there but thats only physical damage.
