Wow. Maybe I should move this to the top of my GameFly queue, even above Just Dance (they've skipped over it 2 weeks in a row because it's still out of stock!).

Sounds really awesome. Thanks for the review.

Nice write-up.

How long did it take you to finish the game, and are there any incentives to go back to it after beating it?

I didn't time it, but I played it way too much for three days straight.  My eyes are buggy.  I'd guess that it's about a dozen hours.

As far as incentives to play again, you can go back and play any of the levels after you beat them.  It's listed as Challenges in the menu.  Depending on how well you do; you can get a bronze, silver, or gold medal.  I replayed the first level and got a silver, so there definitely is i replayablity.  Also, you get to roll over all of your abilities, weapons, upgrades, etc.

I see. Nice. Sounds great, I'll be picking the game up sometime soon, I guess.

Bytheway, what do you think of the graphics, now that you've witnessed them first-hand? The IGN review seemed to describe them as about the best on Wii, saying that some people might even mistake it for a PS360 game at first glance. Not sure if I believe that, although the vids I've seen looked very good. Also, are the cutscenes in-game or CGI?

The graphics look really good with the cell shading.  I don't know if someone would mistake it for a Wii game but that being said, I think that it looks better than the Conduit.  Technically, I don't know if the engine is as powerful ( I'm not an expert on these things), but the art style is much more appealing to my eye.

I'm loving it so far, though I can certainly feel that I am not used to flailing my right arm around for hours on end

I bet it's much better than the first one.

Spoken like a true Ubisoft fan.

Just kidding.  Congratulations on winning the biggest Nintendo fan contest.

What?! Red Steel 2 is actually a PS3 game, I knew it! Ubisoft tried to fool us all, trying to make it look like a Wii game, but I'm on to them, thanks to you, ha!

...

Anyway, thanks. I really like what I've seen so far too. The style seems to really suit the game.

Was that green part a typo or intentional on my part?

I guess you'll never know...

If anyone want to what it looks like when you play the game, I have recorded myself playing the game. See it in the OP of this thread: http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=105196
