Where can I gather Blue Kelbi Horn or Gluehopper.

Both seem to be in the way of me getting something better than a Bone Sword+

Blue Kelbi Horn: Knock out (don't kill!) a giant Kelbi, harvest it. You can get them fairly frequently off the "corpses," but Giant Kelbi themselves are pretty rare.

Gluehopper: Common bug in the Sandy Plains. Zones 1 and 3 should net you a few (heheh, me so funny!).

I am playing the game again and trying to finish the offline mode. I've completed all available five stars quests and the remaining ones require me to do a villager quest first. I guess it's the one where I still need a shark skin or something like that. Where do I get one?

In addition to what rout said (zone 11, harpoon the sharqs) I occasionally get some if I send the fishing fleet on a hunt.

Thank you, both you and Darkheart.

Also, I guess I'm going for a Ludaroth Bone Sword. :P

Pixel Art can be fun.

Who designed this fucking Qurupeco?

No patterns, no reason, just rape, lots of rape, and fucking fire blight. I don't have that many Firedouse berries, how am i supposed to deal with that?

For any weapon but the Sword and Shield, your reach is long enough to be able to hit the body without being directly in front of it. This lets you avoid the sudden charging, and the sudden spark attack. The only other attack you have to worry about is when he bangs his flints together twice: that's your cue to start moving (in any direction) fast. He'll attack 2-3 times this way, and as you know it hurts, but the attack zone is small so if you don't stay still it won't hit you. I've actually "dodged" it by walking in a small circle with my lance drawn...

Other than that, just keep attacking the head, chest, or tail, and pray he doesn't summon a Rathia.

Learn to evade. EVASION>>>>>>>>>>BLOCKING in MH, except Lancers, which is quite a tough weapon for Qurupeco.

Yesterday I got grilled by Rathalos, I guess it didn't help that my fire resistance was below 0. There are also two other new great monsters I can attempt. Which one of those three would be the easiest to start with? They are probably all stupidly unfair though, just like all other monsters.

If memory serves, your options are Barioth, Angknator, and Rathalos, right?

I found Barioth was the easiest (plus he nets you some great armor with Evade+2). Just make sure to stay on his LEFT flank, and don't pursue when he backs away: sometimes he's running, but usually he's just about to charge.

Angknator isn't that much tougher: just bring Sonic Bombs, and use them when he dives underground.

I learned today that i can load the game, select the quest, get to Quropecco, get my ass handed to me, and reload the game in 4 minutes

And i don't care what you're supposed to do (you can't stagger this thing. You can't), that self-healing move he has is cheating. I think i'll homebrew my way through this. If he's going to cheat like that, why can't i?

Kahn modified saved data leads to being perm banded from the online mode.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.

Just closely watch his movements, and maybe get more comfortable with dodging and blocking. You could also try a new weapon, or raise your fire resistance.

Seriously, if you can't handle a Querepecco, then you won't be able to handle the other monsters. Just try it a couple of times, you'll get the hang of it.
