Forums - General - transformers 3 confirmed today, for a summer 2011 release.

O Dear. Michael Bay should not be the director. In T2 the camera was constantly switching between scenes and i was like WTF is happening.

I'm starting to think that Michael Bay is not, in fact a terrible director, but is actually a scientist, striving to discover the limits of what human beings will willingly subject themselves to, and actually like. How anyone over 8 can enjoy the Transformers movies is beyond me.

I was going to come here and be insulting to the Transformers movie franchise too; but compared to this, whatever insult I come out with will just pale in comparison. So on that note I will just say "this".

Transformers 2 had one really good scene - the one where Optimus defends Shia from like five Decepticons. I love that kind of stuff, and it was the best-done action in the entire film.

The entire rest of it was entertaining garbage, but it may have been worth watching for that one scene alone.

Here it is!

Now you can watch this scene and never see the whole movie.

It stops being good when Optimus says "Sam, where are you?"

Hooray another crap movie release for 2011. The good news is that Transformer 3 is the early contender for the #1 spot of movies I'm not looking forward to in 2011.

it amazes me how ppl complain about the transformers movies and hate them so much for being simply what transformers is truly about, just pure action, cheesy lines and lots of effect. for anyone person who actually grew up watching the transformers, from anime series to these movies. know's that is what the series is all about and nothing more. so regardless what u think of micheal bay and his style for directing movies, he is actually the only director for the series since that style of transfomers is what bay can do. i know a ton of ppl who like me, love the transfomers movies for their pure fun/action style and now are exciting to watch some more of this style. for ppl who hate that style, then just dont go see the 3rd,its that simple.

It's the same with Spiderman, Batman, and a lot of other cheesy and/or campy cartoon shows. That doesn't mean they can't be made into good movies. Stop trying to make excuses for the films sucking. Michael Bay knows what he's doing. He just doesn't care.
