Can we leave the who came up with it first stuff out at least a little bit??

Yes, as talk about the topic at hand. Not e-peening the company who 'did it first' and who 'copied'.

Actually, it was me who came up with the idea. A year ago, nobody even cared about the topic. It's a shame Nintendo and Sony had to come on VGChartz to get inspiration from me to do this kind oof thing u___u http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/post.php?id=1965598

I'm curious to know how powerful the new DS will be and what the cost will be. If it has to do stereoscopic 3D, it has to be powerful hardware if you want games where the effect can really shine too.

There were some pretty decent rumours than Nintendo were going to use Tegra 2 from Nvidia

From Wiki:

Tegra 250

  • Processor: Dual-core ARM Cortex - A9 MPCore [8]
  • LP-DDR2 / DDR2
  • 1080p H.264/VC-1/MPEG-4 Video Decode
  • 1080p H.264 Video Encode

It looks more than capable.

Tease.

Actually why are people forgetting that there are rumors (or was that confirmed already) that this new DS will be powered by nvidia Tegra platform so at least some parts will be probably common with nvidia technology.
Anyway if the previous news about two big screens and computing power equal to gamecube will be right (i want Infinite Space :) ) and now with confirmed compatibility that makes first Nintendo platform I'm interested in.

Cool - i hope it's a true successor, not another revision.

But I'm curious now for PSP's reaction.
Touch-screen is a given, but what more?
(because it needs more!

Wow.. I mean really.. WOW

I've wanted a 3D game system for EVER (not glasses based obviously) f this is true then day one, DAY F*CKING ONE!

would be cool if really did manage to make the handheld 3D without glasses in a practical way

Will they have 2 versions, 1 being XL, day one?
I could use the XL version as picture frame/internet browser.

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

Would have been nicer to be surprised at E3, but heres your bomb.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
