Damn straight!

I played Horde a lot. I haven't played Gears nearly as much since my main Horde friends moved to Australia for a year. They come back in a month so I'm sure we'll pick up right where we left off... chainsawing the fuck out of people.

Multiplayer, I use to play it religiously.

Complain about how Horrible it was, but i clicked on Hoard as that was decent.

I appreciate you liking Gears 1 more, but Gears 2 is a much faster paced game IMO.

On topic, multiplayer for sure; I don't play horde all that much and I love the visceral nature of "execution".  With a good connection, this game rocks!

Actually i think gears 1 was a much faster paced game. It was much more about using your shot gun dodging around objects and rushing for the weapons (Torque bow, sniper, boom shot etc). Gears 2 is much more about using your lancer and hiding behind walls

Late to respond I know (damn work and family!! HAHA), but while I can agree that Gears 2 plays differently, I think the ability to shoot enemies that are in the chainsaw animation, and the removal of the "stun" from elbow melees, lead to a much more responsive/quick experience when up close in the shotgun battles.

However, I loved both of these games, so I'm not dissing Gears.  The last time I played the original though in multiplayer, I was one of the noobs that got pwned.  It's been too long since I played it and as similar as 1 and 2 are, the multiplayer battles ARE different for sure.

bought the double pack with gear 1 & 2, i dont actulally play it nymore but my son does.

gears 2 is much easier than gears 1, great games.

I will play a little bit of the campaign every now and then, sometimes horde.
