Its just the truth, nothing to get worked up about.

Wait until Reggie tells a lie, then jump on him.

Edit: but I wouldn't hold my breath

The tech is different, dude.

Who said it was the same tech, dude?

I hope the PS Move gets the same great 3rd party support the Wii Remote has had!

The Wii too comment was unnecessary, but anyways I agree with him unless natal and move show something friggen crazy.

It already has shown some crazy tech already tho....and we are not even at E3 yet!

It would be funny to see if someone just say hey he is alright...he tells the truth but in return and bash on MS and Sony PR :D Hypocracy at it's best imo...they are all equally bad

It's one thing to be shown tech demos, it's another to be shown actual software. Sony's GDC wasn't impressive, and the impressions show that Sony has a lot of work to do before they release Move.

Ugh yeah GDC and Engadget are TECH DEMO places targeted at game developers and tech enthusists...games shown were incomplete pre alpha versions....so wait until E3 to judge the games pls

And again, Move has shown it can do so much already that the Wii can't do, if your gonna argue on the capabilities then your just biased or malinformed imo

What can't the Wii do other than the rather pointless (for me at least) augmented reality? Nothing that I've seen shows any other 'improvement'

Go read up on it then :) I'm not gonna list all the capabilities shown here....(for your reference there is an official Move thread that has some nice info)

As for being pointless :D I HAVE played the wii....it can use some augmented reality when your playing with yoru friends (in games that require a lto of movement) Just as I have seen

Why not give me three things that it can do better than the Wii?

facial recognition, tracking

import every day object's into the software on the fly: IE show the EYETOY an object and it can be input directly on the fly into the game.

position tracking in 3d space of a human body.

I don't know why, but I'm pretty sure you said the exact same thing on some other thread, the exact same thing.

Reggie talking smack about PS Move is good for the PS Move.

It means they're worried. The worst sign for Move's potential would be if Nintendo completely ignored it.

Reggie should chose his words more carefully though. Saying Move does basically the same thing as Wii means PS3 owners can say to themselves "so I don't need to think about getting a Wii any more." And people yet to get into this generation can say. "Cool, I can get excellent HD games AND Wiimote style games all in one package" *does the maths* "Yep and it'll be cheaper overall to get PS3+Move than to get PS3 + Wii"

Exciting software? He obviously hasn't seen that Endgadget tech demo. That looks SWEET!

He's 100% correct. It'll come down to the games and other software applications. I think any fair minded person will acknowledge that Sony 1st party studios make some pretty good games. And 2nd and 3rd parties have done some pretty good work on Sony systems too (including PS3 + 360). He's right to be worried about Sony's 1st party studios putting a decent amount of resource behind Move development, because the talent is unquestionably there there.

And that's why Reggie feels the need to go on the offensive against PS Move.

So the augmented reality stuff I mentioned already? Basically what the eyetoy was doing previously? What about what it can do better than the Wii? I didn't ask what it could do that the Wii has not attempted, mainly because I'm not interested in the camera stuff. I'm more interested in the motion gubbins and I remain sceptical about improvements there.

3rd party support on the Wii generally consists of trying to rip off Nintendo. Who are 3rd parties going to copy on the PS3?

Is the market large enough for an HD console at that price? Do you think the majority of buyers are going to pay that rather large price? What about the vast lead the Wii will have on adoption for motion? Reggie cannot ignore something he is being asked about can he? I guess he could say he had no comment, but that would be twisted by some journalist or other.
