nintendo could've done a Vitality Sensor which is essentially a nunchuk with a biometric device in the shape of an analog stick.
You would move your carachter and being monitored at the same time through your thumb.

I can't believe people are actually excited about this. I must be completely out of touch with what Nintendo fans like....

I don't know how often you frequent a gym, but vitality sensors can take the place of a strip of metal, so a nunchuck with a receptor on the finger grip or the palm would work jsut as well without having to hold your thumb down on the stick.
Treadmills and loads of other machines have biometric sensors on the grips.

This doesn't just measure pulse. It measures the electrical conductivity of your finger as well. It's closer to a polygraph test. I have no idea what any of this means for gaming. But if it can accurately measure fear, I can think of several awesome uses for it.

does it have to be fingers?
Or can it be the electrical conductivity of any part of your body?
I like the idea of a variation of the nunchuck that recieves biometric data but also offers some new input possibilities as well. It could be kind of ball shaped with five pressue sensitive buttons, one for each digit so that it could measure your grip or demand for all sorts of button combinations. It could be anything really.

Thanks for the tip, but I'm counting Wii accessories I want nothing to do with. Sounds that they just using Zelda Wii to front the new gimmick. |
I'm starting to believe people just like tossing out the word 'gimmick', without knowing what it means.

So you cannot praise any Sony Vitality Sensor if they come up with one some years after seeing Nintendo is doing good with it.
One bird down.

LOL yes, something like that.
But it would require a special nunchuk to be sold, I don't know whether Nintendo is disposed to do that.

Woah, slow down there...
First off, am I not allowed to have a difference of opinion? If people like it, that's great. Serioulsy. Have fun with it. I just don't get it. At all.
Secondly, the PS Move isn't for me. I don't want it. So, um....not exactly sure what you're all getting at.
