What good, do you think, will come from it passing? What advantage in a world where this bill is law, are you looking forward to?

Having been hospitalized some 30 Ot times it would be nice to know that healthcare is extended to people who may not be as financially stable as my parents were. Plus I wouldn't be denied insurance because of my condition and considering I plan on entering a career that likely won't be lucaritive that is another plust (I don't even have life insurance).
Oh and it cuts the deficit.
... and I want to see certain people cry (not a dig at you or any other person on this forum, just some people I know in real life).

It cost 940 billion dollars. Only in fantasy land does the reduce the deficit. They are paying for half of it with raising taxes, and the other half my making up some kind of efficiency that they don't have now, because they can't do it.
So, due to that made up efficiency, they are cutting 500 billion from medicare. You think that's really going to happen?
Also, insurance companies will not have to sell you a policy, but they are not bound to how much that policy is going to cost you (other then some multiplier compared to others).
So, let's say it's double. Today I pay $2,000 a year in insurance costs. What will most likely happen, is that cost for me will go to $4,000, and your cost will be $8,000.
So yes, you can buy it, if you can afford it. If your dirt poor, you can apply for medicaid... oh wait, there was that 500 billion they just took out of that... never mind.
So, the only people this bill will help, are upper middle class workers, who have a preexisting condition. Well, help them pay for it anyway. being 1/3 of doctors in a survey said they would leave the medical field if it passes, good luck finding someone to take care of you.
