This gen, Sony: Uncharted franchise, Killzone 2, Infamous, Heavy Rain, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet & Clank franchise, Motorstorm, Little Big Planet, Flower, God of War 3 and Resistance. I don't own 'em all (and didn't name 'em all) but these are the series that I care about. Some of them were sort of "meh" when I got them (ie: Heavenly Sword, inFamous) but still, you gotta respect them.
Microsoft has: Alan Wake (unproven--hope it doesn't suck), Halo franchise, Gears of War franchise, Forza franchise, Kameo, Viva Pinata franchise, Perfect Dark, Fable Il, Lost Odyssey, and Too Human. Again, I don't own 'em all (and didn't list all of them) but these are the ones I personally care about. Some of them were "meh" (Too Human--from what I hear. I still want it.). Some were awesome.
Nintendo has: Zelda franchise, Mario 2D/3D, Mario Kart, Metroid franchise, Wario Ware, Smash Bros., Wii Sports/Play/Fit, Animal Crossing, Punch Out!!, and Advance Wars. Some rock. Okay. All of them rock.
Now, with 3rd party support, I'd have to place the HD consoles well above the Wii. But strictly based on 1st/2nd party published games, and the games that I wanna play, it goes: Nintendo, Microsoft, and then Sony. Heavy Rain and Uncharted 2 are amongst the best experiences I've had this year but for my time, money, and consistent satisfaction, I still place them 3rd.
Your opinion may vary.
I am a bit impressed in how they look, but I could care less about that. It could be a 8bit game for all I care. If I like the play style and controls its great to me.
I actually use to play some Sony made games. Crash Bandicoot being the top one(1-3) Jak & Daxter, MediEvil, PaRappa the Rapper, Sly Cooper. I just do not really care about them or at least enough to buy a PS3 anymore. It was always the third parties that got me on the Sony consoles, but I do not feel like I am missing anything big anymore that I would actually play much.
My tastes in gaming has probably changed some over the last few years. I never left Nintendo I always have there consoles too, but this gen the Wii and D.S. is all I care to have, Plenty of great Nintendo made games and some third party games.
Xbox Never had any interest in it. I am not a huge FPS fan and I do not really care for WRPG's I am not sure do they even have any solid platformers? They are my favorite type of game.

Every company has their unique games. Nintendo still makes the best first party games to me.
It's just that simple.
Sony's been way too focused on making everything so mature lately. Naughty Dog made excellent games for everyone, and now they're making another M-rated explode-o-fest. Granted, a damn fine one, but one in a sea of many. Same with Sucker Punch. Sly Cooper was Nintendo-like in its charm and focus, but in no way lacking in the gameplay department, and instead they throw it away for a mature sandbox game.
Sony Japan's original creations this generation have been most excellent, but their other divisions seem way too focused on making flashy mature games.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I read this entire post, and I only have to ask: Why is this a bad thing?
It shouldn't really matter too much if the game is rated Mature so long as it's a great game. And Sony still releases games for everyone (in genres like platformers), so I don't see the big deal.
In terms of how much they appeal to me - Sony is orders of magnitude away from Nintendo.
That's not to say that Sony doesn't have some good games, but quite frankly no company is within lightyears of Nintendo when it comes to making games I like
Nintendo are more of risk takers this gen then Sony and Microsoft i believe.. no one ever thought that the wii would have sold nearly 70 million units and it did, wii play is close to being the greatest selling game of all time, wii-fit has to be the most expensive casual game ever, Nintendo even had the balls to warrant a sequal of wii sports
I don’t think Sony makes bad games, and I’m reasonably sure that their best games are among the best games available. My biggest complaint with Sony games is that they’re becoming more generic and interchangeable with several quality third party games. While there are some stand out games from Sony, I simply can’t justify spending $300 to play a couple of games I couldn’t get on another platform I already own. The same could be said of the XBox 360, and if I owned a PS3 rather than an XBox 360 I would probably be looking at the first party line-up from Microsoft and thinking that it was pretty uninteresting too.
At the same time, I do agree with some people that by conventional standards some of the games published by Nintendo this generation have been weaker than they released in previous generations. Why I still think their line-up is pretty great is because there is no one who is producing similar games at a similar quality level, which means that if you’re interested in some of these games your only option is the Wii.
I believe that this gen, Sony first party developers have definitely outperformed Microsoft and Nintendo in overall quality of there games. I'm liking Sony a lot more this gen, they constantly produce great first party games every year and have focused less on third-party exclusivity. Sony first-party's haven't been getting GOTY awards for nothing...
Odd. Future. Wolf. Gang. Kill. Em. All. OFWGKTA Don't give a fuck!
Fuck Steve Harvey. FREE EARL!
Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be the GREATEST game EVER made!!!
I'd take a bullet for Square-Enix!
