Forums - Gaming - Cliffy B. thinks Heavy Rain with Natal could be huge

Says so on his Twitter.

I'm imagining what "Heavy Rain" would be like with Natal style controls. #couldbehuge

He also had this to say:

By combining elements we've seen before in an excellent manner it appears as if Heavy Rain has birthed a new genre, the "Interactive Drama."

Quantic Dream recently announced an intense interest in Playstation Move, so they apparently see the connection, too. If Heavy Rain got a Move patch, that would make me by a Move.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Tag, courtesy of fkusumot: "Why do most of the PS3 fanboys have avatars that looks totally pissed?"
"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

That makes 3 big developers within 1 week that say great things about Heavy Rain.

Valve, Molyneux and now Cliffy B.

I think people may be surprised and this game could use this to take some GoTY awards. The praise is phenomenal and I am honestly quite surprised at how often the game is still mentioned.

Game is somewhat similar to an old point and click adventure, you could control your character's movements simply by pointing at a location on screen, using a gesture with a finger to indicate that you want to walk and just drag your hand across the scree.

How I am explaining it may sound weird, but it could most definitely work and I think a game like this would work amazingly well with something like Natal.

Couldn't be much harder than walking in the real Heavy Rain ;)

With Natal and no controller in your hand, there will be very little to separate you from looking like a madman hearing "the voices" and fighting off invisible enemies in your living room. Awesome.

I give this thread a 9.8.

Thank god for the disable signatures option.

Oh interesting, I saw Molyneux's comments. What did Valve have to say?

@TheKitchenSink - I believe there were some such rumours that HR had been developed with motion control in mind. I think it's more then likely a patch will arrive in time. It just makes sense.

I wish WKC was praised half as much as this. :/

Seems someone on Maxconsole mentioned Valve but mistakened it for Molyneux, not realizing that he was from Lionhead and not Valve.

Oops!

@Seraphic_Sixaxis

WKC needs to be half as good first.
