We are talking about this gens games but more importantly FFXIII and BC2. Right now outside of Japan FFXIII as not sold a million copies on either of the formats. It will find it tough to get to 3m copies with the 400k opening it got. If we combine the numbers across the platforms then the same rule must apply to other games too, which would mean BC2 sold a lot more then FFXIII outside of Japan.

Final Fantasy VII for US alone and pretty much every FF since VII if you count Europe as part of "The West"

 

Besides, the point being made is that Bad Company 2 may be the first Battlefield console game to outsell a Final Fantasy title.

Wait what?? A FPS outsold a JRPG in the west?!? That's impossible. I'm pretty sure that's never been done in the history of video games before. They must have had the numbers wrong.
