Forums - Nintendo - No Nunchk in Metroid: Other M

It sounds cool actually.

You use it as a NES controller and you just point at the screen to trun to firs-person view. I don't see how they would make it work better with a nunchuck.

You wouldn't be able to move in first-person view though, it sounds only like it's gonna be used to look around, like in zelda.

since nintendo likes to use the wimote sideways which I prefer cuz i hate holdin a nunchuck on my left hand they should make wimote that looks like a nes controller this could work cuz they always compare the wiimote to an actual remote and my dvd remote almost got the same shape as the nes controller

and call it the classic wimote

Interesting, I need to know more but it sounds like good news as far as I'm concerned.  I like interesting.

Well there's no need to run and strafe while you're aiming in 1st person, so therefore there's no need for the nunchuk, although to be honest i do hate playing games with the Wiimote held sideways because the D pad and 1 and 2 buttons are too small for my liking... i prefer the classic controller's d pad and SNES button layout, but I think Other M's controls will work fine.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

I like it. Other m is basically Nintendo/Team Ninja trying out a whole lot of new stuff. Some of it will be awesome, some will suck. The good ideas will live on, the bad will die off

I will reserve my judgment until I play the game.

There's nothing wrong with them trying something new.

Would rather just use the nunchuck and hit the Z button or something whenever I wanted first person. Plus I don't find holding the Wii remote sideways to be comfortable at all, the d-pad feels wierd too. I still really want this game but come on Nintendo give me some options like you always do.

I'm happy for this, because I hate holding the nunchuck.

At first, I hated this idea, but, I realized that this is meant to be an old school style Metroid game not Prime. I still hope that Nintendo releases a demo for the game because I'm still undecided.
