Forums - Nintendo - AlphaDream should sue Mistwalker

I guess I don't get it since I don't know who the character is when the screen changes.

That being said, if those are not the same musical piece, we have a problem.

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

Hmmm, I didn't meant to sound that sarcastic. They are similar, but I don't think it's lawsuit worthy. Incidental similarities happen a lot in music. I thinks its them both being string-heavy that really makes them sound the same.

I can understand that.  I was being sarcastic with my title though.  Also, I love that my favorite theme in Partners in Time is incidentally being used in the Last Story.

Which theme? I wanna compare them.

.........I don't see a difference. Isn't it the same song just playing, pausing, then continuing in crescendo progression?

Wow guys. Just because two different songs use the same instruments and a lot of the same timings doesn't mean jack shit. Anybody saying these are even remotely close to lawsuit-worthy has a terrible ear for music.

That said, the closest to "lawsuit worthy" videogame music out there is *MAYBE* Rick Astley having a case against Square and their Chrono Trigger devteam. '-'

Given that both were contracted by Nintendo, i would find the whole process rather difficult, and that's if they actually did have a case.

Toei totally has a case against Nintendo, though.

(just the first one)

The first five notes of the melody is EXACTLY the same!

BTW one of MGS4's theme & a theme of the first Narnia movie are the SAME (but they have the same composer so its ok)
