Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo fans- We need to talk

I think the Sony Move is awesome that they Sony finally made the Move. I think though more Nintendo fans are showing contempt for the hypocrisy of Sony fans that are being hypocrites or finding strange justifications to suit the companies new stance. I truly believe if Sony fans were a lot more respectful of the Wii Remote when it came out(not that Sony was itself) then I suspect some of the Nintendo fans wouldn't be turning into dicks.

Bingo. It's not so much the fact that they're copying the idea as much as the fact that they and their fans MOCKED it when Nintendo did it, and NOW they are suddenly praising it when Sony does it, despite Nintendo showing a much better detication to theirs judging by Sonys sorry excuse for a lineup on Move.

We should just enjoy our games and leave the rest alone if we dont like their tastes.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Yeah I knew that :P

post of the week, nice man ^_^

but nah I didn't read to far into your post.  Sony has always been garbage I think it'd be great if they lost so much money on the PS3 they had to leave the games market all together.  The idea that their last desperate effort would be a tragically failed attempt to rip off Nintendo one final time would be poetry.

If Nintendo is Muhammad Ali then Sony is Buster Douglas (and MS is some guy fighting in back yards for 100 bucks).

nope

Sony are shameless, talentless, virtueless whores.  Always have been, always will be.  The Move is a SYMPTOM, not the disease.

I think many Nintendo fans are upset because, even though it was inevitable that Sony and Microsoft were going to move on the motion control, Sony made their controllers look so similar to the Wii's controllers. The question is: Why did Sony make their controllers so similar? Possibly because they didn't have many options. If you think about it, there aren't many options. Maybe it could've looked something like a computer mouse. Maybe it could've looked like a calculator. Sony probably went with what was easiest to make. And what was easiest for the user. The Wiimote was already there, all they had to was use the technology that was already there and put it in their own controller.

As for the Move, why didn't Sony come up with a more creative title? Who knows...

Even though I am a Nintendo-only fan, Project Natal seems much more unique than Move or the Wii. Natal uses motion control on a whole new level. It seems much more innovative.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

Indeed. Im totally agree with you.

It doesn't matter what Sony or Nintendo does. The only thing that matterts, is that we (gamers) will have fun, in every console. And thats the real deal.

MY ZELDA COLLECTION

Thanks for making this thread, amp. Hopefully this will cool some heads. Yesterday was a rather hectic day on the forums for us mods.

aye, they had to make it exactly like the Wiimote because they are clueless.  Its not like they had a big list of design ideas and options to choose from.  All they had was the Wiimote to copy, and so they did, right down to the finest details like initial game designs and advertising.

There is no specific reason, noble or malicious, for designing the Move as it is other than the simple fact that Sony isn't capable of designing anything else.  They copied Wii word for word out of necessity.

hahahaha, lol

wow am I sick of this brainless platitude.  How about instead of considering nothing while forming our opinions, we instead consider everything.  Shutting off your brain in order to form a shallow opinion of something is preschool stuff, not some display of ultimate video game wisdom...
