I think many Nintendo fans are upset because, even though it was inevitable that Sony and Microsoft were going to move on the motion control, Sony made their controllers look so similar to the Wii's controllers. The question is: Why did Sony make their controllers so similar? Possibly because they didn't have many options. If you think about it, there aren't many options. Maybe it could've looked something like a computer mouse. Maybe it could've looked like a calculator. Sony probably went with what was easiest to make. And what was easiest for the user. The Wiimote was already there, all they had to was use the technology that was already there and put it in their own controller.
As for the Move, why didn't Sony come up with a more creative title? Who knows...
Even though I am a Nintendo-only fan, Project Natal seems much more unique than Move or the Wii. Natal uses motion control on a whole new level. It seems much more innovative.
Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.
