I Get your point man, and it is true that everything could turn again in the blink on an eye. but the wii received so much bashing from sony, ms, and their fans cause of the motion seeing as a toy and now theyre doing it too. so why so much bashing at the begining when they were gonna do the same thing. I think they brought it onto themselves. I´m not saying move or natal are worse than wiimote, or that wiimote is better, but I do think they decerve some bashing. cause what they did is pathetic (picking on the wii and then doing the same)

Amazing! This type of sensibility is exactly what i'm looking for! I was starting to think I was the only game-ist left who hadn't turned into a fanboy, flamer, troll when it came to anything outside of "my" console. Respect between gamers is something I deeply miss and has been dissapearing, great post.

have been saying and wondering why we cant all just get along since '06.  its all about playing and enjoying games, and it really shouldnt matter on which platform you choose to do so on.  graphics and power or the lack there-of, who cares?  there are games from 20 plus years ago that are still worth a play due to the fun factor.  So what if the HD twins seek to benefit from the excitement and spending over "motion controls".

and of course the back and forth bickering and ill will from all sides is so unfortunate and unnecessary.  its too bad people cant be like "hey, i play games...ohh, you do too?  thats great!"  and leave the negativity at the door.

I think console wars are pretty asinine anyway, but to me it is blatant that Sony and Microsoft have taken Nintendo's ideas and given them a new name.

It doesn't affect me, and I'm not irate or discouraged. I just find it somewhat comical that "hardcore" gamers (another term for which I abhor) are now jumping ship just because it's being published by another company.

I just don't understand the in-fighting. I had a SNES and Genesis, a PS1 and an N64, Gamecube and a Dreamcast...I don't see the need to "choose sides" and constantly be on the offensive...it's video games for god's sake! There's room for everyone!

When I was a kid, all i wanted was the "cool" kids, and adults to treat gaming like a "real" form of entertainment, now that it is more mainstream, we are all at each others throught over what is "Real" gaming and what's "casual". Silly.
