Forums - Gaming - Final fantasy 13 Screen tearing and laggy.

I have no problem whatsoever on my 40" Samsung LCD using a HDMI cable, however my boyfriend tried the game on his normal CRT tv and experienced those same issues.

So it appears that the problem is tv's that are unable to refresh as fast as the console delivers the frames to it.

I haven't experienced any problems yet. I'm playing on a HDTV connected via HDMI.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,

What region are u?

I have a Sony SD, and live in America

have beat the entire game, even in the largest open areas my frames never dropped below 30 and i never had any screen tearing. PS3 version, NA, 120gb slim

Playing on my HDTV via HDMI and I haven't noticed any of this so far. I live in the US.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

The game is running Perfectly for me on PS3, i am using:
- Sony bravia S32"
- HDMI Cable

It looks soooooooooo Lovely :)

Currently Playing: Final Fantasy XIII (PS3), White Knight Chronicles (PS3), PES 2010 (PS3), Killzone 2 (PS3)

Games to Finish: Silent hill Homecoming (PS3), Valkyria Chronicles (PS3), Oblivion (PS3)

ps3 is meant to be played on an HDTV as the native resolution for most games is at least 720p and usually 1080p. the game will play fine in a higher resolution...the FFXIII native resolution is in HD so SD will have a few issues

Nothing here on my 40" Bravia. I have noticed 1 or 2 issues of slowdown in 25 hours (literally), and a bit of pop-in, but no screen tearing

Friend of mine just tested it on his HDTV and his SDTV. and no issues on either.

Sorry man, I am also playing on a PS3 with a HD tv and I have had none of those problems.
