Iwata doesn't like the Ipad and doesn't think Sony's 3D gaming is impressive. It's his opinion that he gave before both products had been released. He gave a judgement on two rival companies, without even testing their idea's or technology. Sony did the same with the Wii, they are competitors in a competitive market. Get over it.

true in a way, but think of it this way soon ps3 and 360 owners and new comers, can enjoy motion control and on top of that the best games in the business.

so its a win win for hd console owners imo.

About the elite hardcore HD fan dissmising the Wii right off the bat: You're so right on the money. I was not around for the begining of this generation. I wish I was on vgchartz back then, was it around? I REALLY wish I had any kind of thread links or anything to any HD fan on this site, or anyother that labeled motion controls a "fad" so I would serve some crow now lol. Although to be totally fair I was worried about the Wii with motion controls after owning a Power Glove back in the day lol. But all the same I would never just right Nintendo off like that, I know better.

About Sony and the "Move": Its a very weak move for Sony, pun intended, but really can you blame them? There "strenths" are selling there console at huge losses and losing Billions. Thats not a good thing ya know. Sure gamers love it, they got an $800 system at launch for $600 and its a beast with a great library, well its great now anyways. But Sony needs that casual gamer, and im sorry to hurt any Sony fans feelings here but the PS2 was damn casual friendly. You need the casuals to be the market leader.

So I don't get the dissapointment part of it. It's a little embarrassing but people will forget all about that when there playing RE5 in HD with motion controls. And that goes for Nintendo's recent attacks on Sony. I really don't get it. I know you're worried now Nintendo. So heres an idea. Wii 2 with > HD > PSN tyep online service > A harddrive = Nintendo's best system yet.

Yes at the beginning of this generation the "early" success of the Wii was put down by some of the community as a "FAD"

and you your right, PS1 & PS2 We're casual systems, if anything sony have gone back to the days of Nintendo 64, Powerful system, high development costs, limited market appeal.
