GameFreak did, admittedly, add a bunch of elements to make a purchase worthwhile, both for the double (or triple, or quadrupal) dippers and the newbies. The Pokewalker is the Pokemon equivalent of the free prize inside a cereal box: you might find yourself buying it for the gadget than the game itself, but it's the game itself that contains all the deliciousness.

And what a tasty cereal it is.

And they gave it a 8.5

Well I'd say go with GoW for the mindblowing experience... but on the other hand, Pokemon can serve you thousands of hours of gameplay...

What's the Pokewalker all about? I've been avoiding news on the ENTIRE THING to keep my hype low.

HS/SS is just DPPt in Johto. If you are bored with Pokemon in its current state, how can you be entertained with what could be considered "just another rehash"?

Free prize in your cereal box? That's why I'm spending 80 USD on HGSS and not 60 USD right?

They added Pokewalkers to enhance the game but it also makes them more expensive.
