Yeah, evidently Matsushitsa is the largest patent holder in the BRG (ahead of Sony)... which is probably why we'll see Blu-ray in Wii2/HD/Zii/whatever. Actually, I expect it'll be in the next Xbox also.

But it won't be Blu-Ray, of course. It'll be the Nintendo Optical Disc, all the properties, none of the royalties :)

Since FFXIII was better than FF7 I have full faith that they can make new FF's that will live up to "FF7"

Slow down, it says "Seeking the highest level of talent. New generation game engine development project starts." That doesn't mean new consoles folks, that means a new game engine, period. Nothing about new consoles, end of story. Nothing to see here, move along....
