Wow... I'm not going there... honestly vXIII might stay exclusive I don't know, FFXIV has never been exclusive so whatever with that, and FFXV probably isn't even past the formulating ideas stage of development and probably haven't even decided on the console yet, or if it could even come out this gen (though it is likely)

What do you think that the team that devoloped FFXII has been doing since 2006/07?

Obviously FFXV or another big game.

Square-enix has three internal teams that devolope main-FFs. The online team (XI,XIV), Kitase's team (X, X-2, XIII) and Ito's team (IX,FFXII)

Likely that or another Tactics game like they normally do, or maybe something like vagrant story, their theme is to continue the story of Ivalice much like the FFCC games are all in the same world. FFXII might as well have been Vagrant Story II cause they're pretty similar, so yeah they could make the next Ivalice game and slap the FFXV name onto it, its not out of the relm of possibility, but thats one out of a good many games they've made thats been a mainline title.

Also the FFIX team worked on FFCC TCB.

I come back to... This? Someone obviously doesn't like to think about the Wii losing exclusivity.

1. No arguements.
2. Bigger JRPG audience on 360, along with Final Fantasy audience. PS3/360 would be a better option.
3. Square Enix want the Final Fantasy franchise to remain in HD, it helps story telling and character. There is a link to prove this somewhere... I will look for it.
4. No arguements.

Extra stuff -
FFXIV is already confirmed for PC, which has no PS Move like device. Already marked off the list. Plus MMO on Wii = lulz.
Wii console can't cope with the awesome that is Versus, which is already in HD development. As i said earlier, SE want to keep things HD for FF.
Wii has proven that it can't sell Final Fantasy games in great numbers.

FFXV, is a possiblity. But not on Wii. Wii HD yes.

Carl... I stand idle on many of your posts, but I've never wanted to ram my face into a brick wall more than I do now...

*deep breath*

PC has had motion controls for a while, hell they have games that support full body vest that are like force feedback but for your body... motion controls are old on the PC.

MMO's can be done on the Wii, you might have to release a hard drive like they did for XI but it's not out of the question.

There isn't anything more than a CG/ingame cutscene trailer for Versus... we seriously know nothing, so awesome would be hard to say since even if it were more than those trailers that show us nothing about the game, you haven't played it.

How many times does Wii HD have to be put down?  How many times are people going to listen to a man who just pulls random things out of a hat and maybe gets one right out of 30 off hand comments he makes to various sources.  Not the best track record... plus this gen is gonna be here for a while, PS3, 360, and Wii included.

Wii really can't prove it can sell mainline Final Fantasy games without having mainline Final Fantasy, even if you want to talk about FFCC TCB, it was slammed by reviewers, and it really doesn't have a clear audience to market to, it strays away from FFCC, its not a complete action adventure game, its not a normal RPG... if you want to bitch about Echoes... it was a DS game that controlled worse and had less features on Wii...

But thats obviously why Enix is putting Dragon Quest X on Wii, you know it doesn't have the JRPG base, it can't tell a good story cause it doesn't have graphics that can handle it, and most of all Dragon Quest totally isn't the bigger franchise.

The sheer fact that you took that seriously, even with the added Wii HD bit... Is amusing.

Wii fans are so defensive lately...

they are looking for a next gen engine developer:

and yes thats cloud in the pic.... let go apeshit about it!

Carl you say stuff like that all the time, and the fact you just admitted that it was flamebait is astounding to me since I'm not even a "Wii fan"...

Carl's poll got me thinking.

These titles are as of this very moment PS3 Exclusives. But without a contract with Sony FOR exclusivity, I think they could end up being a PS3/Wii multi.

Reasons being...

  1. PS Wand and Wii Remote are very very similar in the things they can do.
  2. A huge JRPG audience is already on Wii based on the sales of DQ Swords, a side quest of DQ series.
  3. Square-Enix let Final Fantasy XIII be on Xbox, because Microsoft asked as well as for the extra large userbase, of course. Looking at this, couldn't Ninty also "ask" SE for FFvXIII/FFXIV/FFXV on Wii? It would be a no brainer as far as I'm concerned. 100M+ Total Userbase is hard to turn down.
  4. Square-Enix are already developing for the PS Move, they will have experience in both motion devices by FFvXIII/FFXIV/FFXV release.

Am I delusional? Discuss!

I don't wanna call anyone delusional, but by your rationale we should expect DQX on PS3 and KH3 to be PS3Wii too. I don't think your assumptions make much sense at all.

Flamebait? Where? I constantly joke about the Wii HD. You even said it yourself...

And as for not being a Wii fan. From your post history, doesn't look that way.

Kitase stated last year that they were deciding on key things of XV. and that they have some ideas on the table already. It isn't in development as of yet. But you can bet they already have a basis down.

Not true, some people who worked on FFIX have also worked on the Crystal Chronicles series, but IX's team essentially merged with Matsuno's team (later Ito's) back then in 2001 when they started working on FFXII.

Hiroyuki Ito's has been credited in some games since 2006, but I think this guy is working on something bigger and because Square-enix isn't particulary original it probably won't be Vagrant Story 2 or a new Chrono game.

flamebait

1) Flame bait is a message posted to a public Internet discussion group, such as a forum, newsgroup or mailing list, with the intent of provoking an angry response (a "flame") or argument over a topic the "troll" (original poster provoking angry response) often has no real interest in, and finds humour, or entertainment in reactions.

2) Flame bait can be a person unfamiliar with a certain discussion/topic on an internet discussion group, possibly saying things that would provoke an angry, teasing, or overall negative response.

You do it all the time and then tease "look at the Wii fans get angry", you do it a lot with the intent of irritating people and it's getting rather old.

For the record the only thing my post history really shows is that I rarely venture into the 360 and off topic forums since I discuss everything from PS3 to PC (which doesn't even have a major fanbase on this site)... and its not like you're fooling anyone, you go and make a post that's meant to rile people up, when someone debates typically you use them being a "Wii fan" as some kind of scapegoat, honestly this shit needs to stop you're apart of the staff and you don't act like it.

And was it really generated to get an angry response? You mean... Just like the OP, immitating another persons thread? You didn't say anything about that one though did you... Or about all the trolling and flaming from the Nintendo fanbase since "Move" was shown. Oh no.

As for the other bit. That's like saying im no Sony fan because i venture into all topics.

And FYI, Wii fans have been acting rabid since Sony just revealed the Move. Even an admin posted a "flamebait" thread. So no. Just no...
