Anyway, back on topic, some of you PS3 owners are bordering on paranoid delusion. The only time IGN gives out two scores (and reviews) is when there is enough of a difference between the two versions to warrant such a thing. In FFXIII's case, that's obviously not so.

Stop creating these massive conspiracy theories, take a fucking Xanax, and GO PLAY SOME VIDEO GAMES. Jesus.

Not to mention that back when gamerankings still calculated that sort of thing... PS3 had a higher overall review average then 360.

They stopped tracking those stats though and replaced it with just one average.  Makes me think they got pressure put on them by a review site or two.

lol do you really want FF XIII to get lower scores from the reviewers just because the game is on the 360?

I mean it is the same game, and there are only minor differences beetween versions. Fallout 3 or Bayonetta were completely different stories, with one version filled with bugs.

I just don't get this place anymore. It used to be chock full of Big N supporters who annoyed the crap out of me but at least they were really passionate about all things Nintendo and enjoyed the historical significance of the company.

Somewhere along the way, it shifted to the PS3 and I swear the average poster IQ in this place has dropped a good 20 points. Half the threads are either "ra ra PS3" or trying to accuse some site/person/malicious government agency of slighting their beloved hunk of plastic and silicone, which somehow makes their experience with the device less enjoyable.

I should really stop posting here and just concentrate on editorials. All I do is get frustrated.

Ah, i wouldn't say the IQ has dropped or anything.

It's just the Nintendo fans come off less grating because well... the Wii was in first place.

It used to be all "ra ra wii" or complainging about wii conspiracies...  it's just... the postive signs for Wii were usually more positive because it was in first place... and a lot of places actually are anti-wii because a section of mainstream old gamers don't like it.

It's like if Michael Jordan and Adam Morrison both talked the same amount of trash.  Michael Jordan, it's less grating because he's Michael Jordan... he has reason to talk.  Sure the PS3 is having a bit of a rennisance but it's still in last place.

The posts are the same level in theory, it's just in practice they seem more grating.  Or at least that's my opinion.

That would be because there are far more pure exclusives on PS3 than 360, and thus far more quality ones. Most games on 360 which are not to be found on PS3 are on PC, and you're not counting those, clearly.

But.. LBP is up there and thats no exclusive, i dont need to buy a PS3 to play it.

They are two completely different games.

By that logic, Gran Turismo isn't PSP exclusive, because I can play it on PS1.

Thats the rules on VGchartz, if there on another platform there not exclusive (Stupid i know).

And Gran Turismo on PSP and PS1 are 2 different games, different tracks and cars.

LBP on PS3 and PSP are two different games. Different levels, stickers, and costumes, and half the features are missing.

They are biased against the wii if anything, but you do have a point.
Damon Hatfield is the catalyst for how all of the editors feel about the consoles.

For some reason his mind is made up that the 360 is just like the PS3, but has better online and he likes achievements so the 360 is just better than the PS3.

And he never ever touches the wii and completely dismisses motion control from ever being viable on the wii, and really hates the idea of motion on the hd consoles.

he is close minded, and you can tell from the podcasts, that he pretty much runs the show, the others laugh at his jokes and believe what he believes.

He needs to open his eyes and close his mouth a little more i think.
because as of now ign is biased in this manner: 360>PS3>>>>>>>wii
however: DS>>>>>PSP

The number of conspiracy threads is just getting crazy at the moment.  Seems most threads these days are either asking obvious questions (will GT5 sell more than Forza?), positing some conspiracy (mainly regarding review site bias) or trying to stealth troll either the 360 or the PS3 (nothing new there I guess).

So few threads seem to be about more meaty topics anymore.  It's a shame.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Sadly most of the meaty topics have been hashed out too many times. The size of the site is also the cause of a lot of problems. Even the best moderation can't keep people from stealth trolling, or blatantly trolling a thread immediatly. It further breaks down when you get the hardcore fans of a system that refuse to admit there is a possible negative aspect to their console, and just throw around acusations of trolling and bias randomly. I miss the old forums, but unfortunately you can never go back.

IGN is biased against a system, but it's not the PS3.
