I guess the PS3 counter on the front page will start going backwards due to PS3 fans sending their PS3's back.

Those games shower are just, to show PS3 can do what the Wii is doing with casual games, thats all, I think this thread is funny, why would it insult my intelligence, its not like they are only making these types of games now, Yes the PS move has great support so far, and a lot of the games will be made from Wii developers sure they will be similar. There will still be Killzone 3, REs 3, Infamous 2 just to name a few, Sony will keep there regular controller along with the move, something nintendo does not have, With the PS3 now you will have best of both worlds, which is what any gamer wants, you want hard core shooters, superb graphics, dolby digiatal, Party games, Motion games, now can can have all of that with the PS3, not Wii, that is What Sony, is about, after all we can really thank Nintendo for there being a Sony , Right, So PS3 will be the most diverse console on the market with everything it offers, standard HD, Bluray, Wifi, everything charges, no batteries or spending more money on batt packs, If you truly dont like a company , you may think your unbiased, but your not.

Answer is no they won't...reason? Simply because they will keep delivering the type of games the current fans have come to expect them...then they could care less :) from all these threads the only fans Sony losing now is the 'nintendo' fans it seems :P

Truth is how many Ps3 owners also own a wii, but never play it because it does (i'm not trying to offend) not have the good enough software

I agree with amp, I'm kind of scared of the PS3 sales getting a huge boost.. if Sony starts to improve the casual market and forget about the more hardcore fans, then we will have a big problem.

Well, so far we have a company that has had 5 years to catch up to Nintendo and what have they shown? Games that every journalist can call, at best, very rough around the edges.

If Sony was going to threaten Nintendo they needed to come out showing and demonstrating something that actually destroyed what Nintendo has to offer. This is a case of far too little, far too late.

Oh, one other note: Who in their right minds believes that the casual market is going to spend over 400 dollars on their first gaming system? Seriously, who?

I have had a PS3 in my home for months, and it hasn't made me stop playing ANY of my Wii games. Your arguement about not having enough "good" software is a joke.

You doubt it will go to $500? I was talking about people who don't have a PS3 (since this is all about getting new customers), so it's $300 for the system, "under $100" for 1 controller and game and eye, but what about other controllers? I wouldn't be surprised if the starter pack is $99.99, though I'm actually guessing around $80. And for extra controller sets? It will almost definitely be over $500. People don't buy the Wii for a compelling single player experience (typically), they buy a Wii for a fun multiplayer/social experience.

Again, I don't think Sony will lose fans, but I also don't believe they will pull many in.
