Forums - General - Touching Video Game Story

That is very touching. It's actually hit me fairly hard since I had a somewhat similar experience with my father.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

I guess you still don't get what I said. Like I said, it could be the game that sent those auto-messages and presents in stead of his real mother (who knows). But even if that's the case, it's a good story.

The game doesn't give you presents, someone sends them to you.

Right.  The game attaches an auto-message to the presents you send, but you send the presents yourself.  I know, I own both the GC and DS versions and they both play the same.  There is a basic message (though you can write your own as well) sent with gifts, but the game doesn't auto-send presents.  I'm not sure you played the game, or at least you don't understand how it worked omoneru.

Well if you've played at least the DS version, you should know that the game occasionally sends automatically generated messages from "Mom". Often with presents. I haven't actually played animal crossing for a long time, and I just popped it in as I write this. It's been 11 months since I played, according to rasher.

And my mailbox is full of letters from the HRA. And one from "mom". My mum never plays this game, that's for sure.

Also. I have a lot of weeds. If they think I'm cleaning this town up, they've got another thing coming...

I do hope this isn't the case though. I hope this person can tell the difference between her mum's actual letters and gifts, and the game's randomly generated mum letters...

Help! I'm stuck in a forum signature!

yeah, so
>>at least you don't understand how it worked
was a bit uncalled for. But surely they're from his real mom. yup.

I could nitpick other dubious points in the story,
but let's just say it's a good story regardless.

That's the version with music. Great story. If it wasn't the author's real mother, I hope they never find out.

That's a really nice story, beautiful infact.

It would be hard to understand it if you don't actually know how the game works.

I have never played the game and I was able to get the point through context. I don't see what is so challenging about this ....
