PS3 only console up in Feb NPD, says Pachter and EEDAR
Wedbush Morgan’s Michael Pachter and EEDAR have both estimated that the only hardware to see a sales increase in February in the US was PS3, will all other consoles sliding back year-on-year.

PSP – 95,000 (-52%) / 90,000 (-55%)
PS2 – 45,000 (-66%) / 50,000 (-62%)
Total – 1,670,000 (-29%) / 1,581,000 (-32%)
Pachter predicted yet another software decline at the month, the eleventh in the past year, but reckoned February is “the last cloud on the horizon”.
He added that he expects “industry sales to improve significantly starting in March, with a rebound to positive territory as high-profile games begin to be released on a more consistent basis (top March games are Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Final Fantasy XIII, Pokémon, and God of War III).”
Fingers crossed, then. The NPD lands this Thursday, smack in the middle of GDC. Joy.
