Bodycount: Console shooter from creators of Black

The next shooter from the creators of PS2 and Xbox
shooter Black has been unveiled in the latest issue of the Official Xbox Magazine.
Developed by Codemasters’ Guildford team, Bodycount is a shooter to keep your eyes on. This is because the Guildford team features several key members from Criterion’s Black team, and is headed by Stuart Black who was co-creator on the FPS that shares his name. Acting as creative director, Black is joined by Tom Gillo (executive producer) from Sony London and Andrew Wilson (senior producer) from Black Rock.
OXM describes Bodycount as “a spectacular and frankly mental first-person shooter” and with Black being infamous for its ‘gun porn,’ Bodycount hopes to up the stakes with “ridiculous levels of destruction.” OXM has now removed their teasing article from the internet, but you’ll find Bodycount featured on the latest issue’s cover which is now going out to subscribers. Here’s a little thumbnail:
Eurogamer previously revealed that the game is being made for “leading console platforms” and will take advantage of Codemasters’ impressive EGO engine, so Bodycount is almost certainly coming to both the PS3 and Xbox 360
