They site most of the items as the Gamespot article, but display a biased toward the PS3 version of the game. Surprisingly Gamespot, whom is known for their 360 favoritism, wrote no mention of the commonly cited version difference. I'm quite impressed they reserved judgment and decided not to advocate for one version of the game over another.

I don't understand. The PS3 version is clearly better and you are impressed they didn't write about it like they did in the past when a PS3 port was worse?

show me where a PS3 version that isn't broken received 1.5 less...

also it should be noted that while resolution is down - framerate is better on 360 version.

1.5 is stupid and would only work if the game had gameplay issues... it doesnt have gameplay issues.

Where did you read the PS3 version has noticable framerate issues?

I think you sound like the kind of guy who would rave about GTA IV's cutscenes on the XBox 360 running at ~30 FPS instead of hollywood movie-like 24 FPS on the PS3. Pretty meaningless.

The game is running in 576p on the 360, surely it should be easy to keep the game locked to 30 FPS (it isn't though) on the 360.

I've watched the comparisons, the frame rate drops are negligable. How is even a valid argument, when you can watch the frame rate dip and see that the two video's never loose sync for a second. There is no choppiness in the PS3 version, so its obvious that it really doesn't make much of an impact...

go read the technical comparison that we had posted here this last week... from that you will also see that the 360 version has suffered from very poor programming more than any other factor.

The programming is probably OK as PS3 code is well portable. Maybe they didn't take enough advantage of the EDRam, but likely they didn't see much use to such an approach as the game assets have been degraded to suit the lower capacity DVDs (not making much of a difference running in 720p).

Naughty Dog: "At Naughty Dog, we're pretty sure we should be able to see leaps between games on the PS3 that are even bigger than they were on the PS2."

PS3 vs 360 sales

Speaking of a reverse argument. The 360 is supposed to be so easy to program for, but the coding is the issue, not the capacity. Blu-Ray is what is winning the texture battle.

to be fair... I am not sure that any site has scored differently due to "differences" in the game.

One site I'm not sure what one, gave the PS3 version an 85 and the 360 version an 84

read this with an open mind. http://vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=102957

LOL You do know that you're talking about MikeB. Asking him to read with an open mind that can affect his dear PS3 is so pointless!

why are you getting the 360 version

because I prefer the 360.  whats wrong with that?

now which multiplats did you get for the PS3.... after all you claim to have a 360.

idk check my gamertag, to see what achievements I have for the 360..

and whats wrong with me prefering the ps3?

I just don't think its logical to get the 360 version of FF XIII despite it being INFERIOR to the ps3 version, and despite rviewers saying if you have a ps3 and 360, the ps3 version is the one to get..

I would get Bayonetta for the 360 without hesitation.. if I was inteested in the game.
