Forums - General - What do you thin about Gay Parade\Pride Events?

I don't find the wrestling matches in bra, slutty behavior in music videos and other stuff like being a "fest" at the same level as the ridicouslness of a gay parade.

I've seen in my country already side's of buildings with 2 man hughing in pants. Nothin wrong with that, it's very different from gay parades.

Of course you don't find that stuff to be a "fest" like a gay pride parade, you see it every day in every magazine, TV show and commerical. How could it bother you if it's part of your everyday life. Over the top homosexual behavior on the other hand, is NOT something your average person is used to on a daily basis yet. The main point being, who the hell cares? If they are blocking traffic, sure that could bug you, but if they are in a whole different area than you, why should you care?

Also, I'm really enjoying Seece and Mafoo arguing even though they obviously agree with one another! What a fun place this is sometimes!

All I want to know is where the hell that culture of skimpy outfits and wild prancing came from? I have no problem otherwise.

Not quite. They both (and myself) agree on the end result. How to explain the present situation is what they seem to be differing about. They can (and should) feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but from how I'm seeing things, Seece sees it as a form of discrimination and unequal rights. (I happen to agree with this stance.) However, Mafoo doesn't see it as this, but rather just an antiquated law that needs to be changed. And thus there is where the dispute begins...

True true, but it's really semantics at this point. They both want the same thing, and are both passionate about it, I find it super interesting how divergent their ideas are and then come together exactly at the end point. It's just a fascinating thing to watch.

1. You should get banned for that picture you posted in the OP, I think I'll be scarred for life.

2. I'm fine with the gays having their parades or whatever as long as I don't have to see them.

Odd. we have 20+ pages of "Unknown beautiful girls" in a thread by the same name. I have seen every page ;), and have yet to see you ask for a ban. A lot more offensive picutre in that post, depending on how you swing. The girls locking toungs should make you throw up I would guess, being your against same sex couples.

Hot lesbians = awesome

ugly lesbians or 2 guys = disgusting

All I will say about this topic is that a gay pride parade is probably the most enjoyable and entertaining event held in modern times and this thread is filled with shocking stupidity (of the homophobic kind).

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

@Mafoo. I'd like to try and point out what I see as the flaw in your point of view. Lets take a different situation. Lets say in some country bras are against the law - does that law discriminate against women?

If the law is designed to adversely affect a single group it is discriminatory against that group.

I think they reinforce negative stereotypes and just get people riled up/angry.

dunno001 is slowly becoming one of my favorite gaymers by his posts I've seen lately.

I agree with him about his views on gay pride parades. I also envy him for making that scenario about gay marriage. Bravo dunno, bravo.

Haha, thanks! I do what I can, even though I know that what little I do is never enough. I'd love to be able to tackle things head-on, but if it were truely that easy, someone who's more people-friendly than me would have already done so. I take the view of the fact that we are people too, even if some people with different thoughts would like to see us as sub-human.

I guess... it's just the latest group of people to try to fight to be seen for what we are: people. And if history is any indication, it gives me hope. Women fought for their right to work and vote. Black people also fought for freedom. Together, they fought for interracial marriage. And now, it's our turn- to fight for same-sex marriage. And all it really takes, is proper interpretation of the law. (By proper, I also mean seperation of church and state- relgious beliefs have no right being in a law, as not everybody believes in one religion. Nay, religious freedom is one of the things granted us.)
