What game will sell better Metroid Other M or Pikmin 3?

Metroid Prime sold about 2.8 Million

Metroid Prime 2 sold about 1.2 Million

Metroid Prime 3 sold about 1.5 Million

Metroid Prime Tilogy sold about 480K

Pikmin sold about 1.6 Million

Pikmin 2 sold about 1 Million

N.P.C Pikmin sold about 440K(All)

N.P.C Pikmin 2 sold about 240K(Japan and Others only)

I say that Pikmin 3 will outsell Metroid Other M. Metroid Prime Trilogy sold 480K and the game was $50 for 3 games while N.P.C Pikmin and N.P.C Pikmin 2 sold 680K and it was $60 for only 2 games and Pikmin 2 didn't come out in America(Yet) Also I expect Pikmin to benefit in a big way from the new Calm market Nintendo has got with the Wii while Metroid won't benefit much from it at all. I think that Pikmin 3 will be the best selling Pikmin game ever and M.O.M will be the best selling Metroid game ever but Pikmin 3 will sell more.

i think metroid otherM looks very appealing, not just to Metroid fans but to others as well. im certainly more interested in this metroid than the previous ones. pikmin will always be a strategy game, those don't as much appeal on consoles as action adventure games do

So you expect Metroid Other M to outsell the first Prime - putting it at about 3.0 million lifetime - and Pikmin 3 to still outsell it?

What do you expect out of Pikmin 3, exactly?

And the fact that it got removed from shelfs didn't help either.

I'd have to go with Metroid as the franchise is bigger and has been around longer. I would say Pikmin 3 would easily beat it in Japan, but seeing as how 'Team Ninja' is doing Other M, there's a good chance even that won't happen.

Very anxious to see both, myself.

Metroid: Other M... the core gamers will eat it up, and Pikmin 3 (if it ever actually happens) will probably get lost to the casual audience among the great flood of shovelware on the Wii... plus It doesn't have quite the same name recognition these days as it did back on the GC when it was one of the premier titles and not buried under an avalanche of crap being released weekly.
